Find out how to get your stories published! In this talk, Julian Mortimer Smith will explain the ins and outs of publishing short speculative fiction. He’ll introduce some of the major magazines, websites, and podcasts that publish sci fi and fantasy and help you find a venue that publishes the kinds of stories you write. He’ll also take you through the submission process and explain the basics of rights, contracts, payment rates, and more.
Julian Mortimer Smith is an award-winning writer of science fiction and fantasy. His work has appeared in some of the world’s top magazines and anthologies, including Asimov’s, Terraform, Daily Science Fiction, and Best American Science Fiction & Fantasy. He is a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA), SF Canada, and the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia (WFNS).
