Autumn Games Day & Escape Room 2021

We're so excited to be back with an in-person gaming event, it's been far too long!

Come join us at the Yarmouth County Museum and Archives for a day of board games and mystery.

Spend the day with us gaming with friends while waiting for your turn at the escape room or skip the escape room and relax with board games! Bring your own game to play or sign out one of our vast collections of games.

Registration for the Whitechapel Escape Room will open up on November 2nd - check back here for the direct link to sign up.

Proof of vaccination will be required and all applicable provincial covid protocols will be in place.

Hey Y-Con fans! It's been a couple of trips around the board since our last update on the con. While the year that-shall-not-be-named put an end to last year's convention, our team has taken their long rest, reset their hit points, and is ready to bring back the geeky gaming fun we know and love this year 😃

While this year we won't have a large, three-day gathering, we do plan on bringing you a sprinkle of smaller, COVID-safe events throughout the year.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Greetings Everyone,

On behalf of the Executive Committee, we are unfortunately announcing that Y-Con Gaming & Comics Convention will be canceled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic that is sweeping across the nation. This was not an easy decision however, with the latest projections showing that COVID-19 may be with us for some time, it was one that had to be made.

Our hope and intention is to resume activities in the fall and will begin organizing for Y-Con 2021 to be held in June of next year. With all of this extra pre-planning we will ensure that Y-Con 2021 will be extra special!!

We would like to thank the NSCC who have been so understanding during this time as well as our many vendors, sponsors, guests and volunteers who were lining up to head to Yarmouth for our sophomore event.

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for some isolation-friendly ideas that we will be announcingshortly.

Thanks everyone and remember to stay safe, stay two meters away from others when out and about and remember that board games will ALWAYS alleviate the boredom!!

Y-Con Update Regarding COVID-19

Greetings from Y-Con Gaming & Comics Convention

Due to recent developments, and being good community citizens, we wanted to give you an update on the status of Y-Con 2020. Y-Con 2020 is scheduled to take place in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia this June 19th, 20th and 21st.

Fortunately, there have been no reported cases of Covid-19 in Nova Scotia as of yet. But that is expected to change. As Canada is at the beginning of this outbreak, it is impossible to say now what the status of things will be by June 19th. We will continue to monitor the situation, both here in Nova Scotia and in Yarmouth, and will make decisions regarding this year’s convention as things progress.

Our hope is to safely proceed with Y-Con 2020 as planned. If at a later date plans change, we will communicate them with you via our social media platforms, newsletter and website.
