Y-CON GAMING & COMICS CONVENTION IS SEEKING DONATIONS OF LEGO BRICKS!!

In anticipation of Y-Con 2024 We are asking for donations of unwanted or used LEGO bricks for our first-evet LEGO WALK CHALLENGE. Any amount will do!! We're hoping to fill a 10ft X 2ft path so send any LEGO you have our way!!

Y-CON is Recruiting for a Sponsorship Coordinator

Y-CON is recruiting! We're looking to fill an open role for a Sponsorship Coordinator on our executive planning committee!
 
Y-CON is a volunteer run, non-profit dedicated to community growth through gaming. Some of the tasks you would take on in the Sponsorship Coordinator role include:
  • Securing sponsorship for our annual convention and various one-day events
  • Managing the partnerships between Y-CON and our sponsors
  • Developing our annual event sponsorship kit
  • Attending monthly meetings and contributing to the overall success of Y-CON
  • Assisting our marketing team with promotional material
 
Some of the skills we're looking for:
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • A passion for community building
  • Interest and knowledge in gaming/geeky fandoms
  • Experience using MS Office or Google Suite software (spreadsheets, document editing, etc...)
  • Previous event management/sponsorship management experience preferred, but not required

Join the Y-CON Science Fiction Association Board of Directors and Executive Committee as we host our 5th annual general meeting. This event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
Learn how you can get involved with Y-CON as we begin to plan events for the upcoming year in 2024.

Virtual Attendance
If you would like to attend the Annual General Meeting but via an online virtual presence, just let us know. As long as we have anyone who would prefer virtual attendance, we will set up an online video/audio option to attend.

Y-CON Sends our Thoughts and Support to all Affected by the Nova Scotia Wildfires

Y-CON sends our thoughts and support to everyone affected by the Nova Scotia wildfires. We will be making a $250 donation to Red Cross fire-relief efforts and have a donation jar available at the registration desk this weekend for additional donations. ❤️

Y-CON is built on the motto of community through play. We are a safe environment to come to this weekend and have some fun and positivity. If you are displaced by fires and able to attend, we are open with welcoming arms.

Should you not be able to attend anymore, we completely understand - don't hesitate to reach out with any questions at all. We are constantly monitoring this situation for any changes at all.
