Y-con 2020

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Greetings Everyone,

On behalf of the Executive Committee, we are unfortunately announcing that Y-Con Gaming & Comics Convention will be canceled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic that is sweeping across the nation. This was not an easy decision however, with the latest projections showing that COVID-19 may be with us for some time, it was one that had to be made.

Our hope and intention is to resume activities in the fall and will begin organizing for Y-Con 2021 to be held in June of next year. With all of this extra pre-planning we will ensure that Y-Con 2021 will be extra special!!

We would like to thank the NSCC who have been so understanding during this time as well as our many vendors, sponsors, guests and volunteers who were lining up to head to Yarmouth for our sophomore event.

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for some isolation-friendly ideas that we will be announcingshortly.

Thanks everyone and remember to stay safe, stay two meters away from others when out and about and remember that board games will ALWAYS alleviate the boredom!!

Y-Con Gaming & Comics Convention

Greetings from Y-Con Gaming & Comics Convention

Due to recent developments, and being good community citizens, we wanted to give you an update on the status of Y-Con 2020. Y-Con 2020 is scheduled to take place in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia this June 19th, 20th and 21st.

Fortunately, there have been no reported cases of Covid-19 in Nova Scotia as of yet. But that is expected to change. As Canada is at the beginning of this outbreak, it is impossible to say now what the status of things will be by June 19th. We will continue to monitor the situation, both here in Nova Scotia and in Yarmouth, and will make decisions regarding this year’s convention as things progress.

Our hope is to safely proceed with Y-Con 2020 as planned. If at a later date plans change, we will communicate them with you via our social media platforms, newsletter and website.
