Do you have any special room rates for an overnight stay?

We sure do! Check out our room rates page for the latest deals available to Y-CON attendees.

Can I take photos with cosplayers, vendors and guests?

Yes, but please ask for consent and permission first. Please ask for permission from vendors before taking photos of their products for sale, and respect them if the answer is no.

Will the canteen be open? Is outside food allowed?

Yes! The Mariners Centre canteen will be open during Y-CON. There will also be some vendors that offer food and drink items. Outside food is also allowed.

The Canteen will open approximately one-hour before the convention opens for volunteers, guest, staff and vendors.

Canteen Hours:

Friday: 4pm – 10pm~
Saturday: 9am – 10pm~
Sunday: 9am – 5pm~

How do I get to the convention? Where is parking available?

Y-Con is held at the Yarmouth Mariners Centre in beautiful Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. There is plenty of parking available on-site at the Mariners Centre. The Mariners Centre is located at 45 Jody Shelley Dr. Yarmouth, Nova Scotia B5A 4B2. Get directions on Google Maps.

The Town of Yarmouth also has a transit bus route that operates from Monday to Saturday. Learn more about their schedule, route and fares.

I’d like to volunteer at the convention. How can I get involved?

Happy to hear! Volunteer applications are closed for 2025, but you can still let us know your interest for next year.
