I’d like to volunteer at the convention. How can I get involved?

Happy to hear! Volunteers are a crucial part of every event and we incredibly appreciate their work. Head to our volunteer page to fill out our volunteer sign-up form and begin your application. Have a question about volunteering? Email our volunteer coordinator Natasha today at volunteering@yarmouthcon.com.

How do I get to the convention? Where is parking available?

Y-CON 2024 will be held at the Yarmouth Mariners Centre in beautiful Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. There is plenty of parking available on-site at the Mariners Centre. The Mariners Centre is located at 45 Jody Shelley Dr. Yarmouth, Nova Scotia B5A 4B2. Get directions on Google Maps.

The Town of Yarmouth also has a transit bus route that operates from Monday to Saturday. Learn more about their schedule, route and fares.

Will the canteen be open? Is outside food allowed?

Yes! The Mariners Centre canteen will be open during Y-CON. There will also be some vendors that offer food and drink items. Outside food is also allowed.

The Canteen will open approximately one-hour before the convention opens for volunteers, guest, staff and vendors.

Canteen Hours:

Friday: 4pm – 10pm~
Saturday: 9am – 10pm~
Sunday: 9am – 5pm~

Can I take photos with cosplayers, vendors and guests?

Yes, but please ask for consent and permission first. Please ask for permission from vendors before taking photos of their products for sale, and respect them if the answer is no.
