We are busy behind the scenes planning another convention and have a special update. We have a couple tweaks to navigate in 2026 related to a special construction project. This will be a one-year adjustment for Y-Con.
We’re putting the final pieces together behind the scenes. The Yarmouth Mariners Centre is completing an ice-pad replacement in 2026 in the main arena, which will take about four to six months after the Mariners hockey season. Learn more about the ice pad replacement.
The good news is that we’re planning to use Arena 2 and other areas of the Mariners Centre. This will be a temporary one-year adjustment.
Because of this unique situation presented this year, we also want to ensure that we have a back-up venue plan just in case. Once everything is confirmed, we’ll share an update. Thanks for hanging in there — it’s all coming together!
As the Y-Con team navigates the previously mentioned ice-pad replacement, we also had to adjust our dates to work with the Mariners Centre schedule.
Our friends at Caper-Con in Sydney also had to pivot their dates to late May so we did not want to have two amazing events conflict on the same weekend.
We see you early-bird ticket buyers! We plan on launch ticket sales as soon as possible once our venue is fully confirmed.
Your Y-Con vendor team is aiming to do a soft-launch of vendor applications within the next two-weeks. This application will be open for anyone interested in applying and indicating your interest in vending at Y-Con 2026 regardless of the venue.
