Bring & Buy Event
This year at Y-Con we are hosting a Bring & Buy Event. Want to have the opportunity to sell some games but want to be free to enjoy the rest of the convention? Bring your games to us and we will help sell them at our Bring & Buy table! If your games are in good condition, with all necessary components we will agree to sell them for you at our Bring & Buy table.
This event is only available to Y-Con attendees.

What is the Bring and Buy Event?
For those who are unfamiliar with this format, the idea is that games will be set on display at a designated table. Attendees will be able to peruse the games and if they find something they would like to buy our volunteers will collect the money at the price you listed for your game.
How do I sell games at the Bring and Buy event?
STEP 1: In order to sell games at Y-Con you will need to fill out two copies of our seller registration forms. A printable copy of them can be found here. If not you will be required to fill out the sheets at the convention as no games will be accepted for sale without them.
Necessary information will be full contact information, the title of your game and the price you are setting for the game. To avoid game components being misplaced please ensure your game is secured with painters tape or able to remain safely closed.
You set the price you want for each item *note that all prices must be in whole dollar amounts* All your items should be labelled with its own Item Sheet.
How to set an item’s price?
It is up to the seller what price to put on each of their items. When determining a price, it may be helpful to consider factors such as the current price of the item new, the condition of your item, the availability of the item (e.g., is it out of print?), and how eager you are to find it a new home. There are likely other factors that could be important to you, but these are a starting point. If you wish to change the price of your game during the convention new sheets will have to be filled out.
Seller Proceeds
Seller proceeds will be available on the Sunday of the convention but must be received from our Boardgame Coordinator. Please be patient as timing of your pay out request may conflict with scheduled events. We will do our best to process seller proceeds and the return of unsold games as efficiently as possible. Efforts will be made to return any games that are left post convention based on contact information but after a period of 24 hours will be subject to forfeit and become property of Y-Con.
If you are unavailable to attend the convention on Sunday we may be able to accommodate your seller proceeds but this again will be subject to delay based on scheduled events.
The Cost of Selling
Games sold at our Bring and Buy event are sold on commission and the fees that will be collected are $1.00 or 10% (whichever is greater) for each item.
Appropriate Items
Board games, RPGs or related items. Related items would include CCGs, miniatures and terrain pieces. No CCG singles. No video games. It is the discretion of our Board Game Coordinator. Ultimately, it is at the discretion of the BnB Manager to permit an item to be made available for sale.
You should include any information that you would like to know if you were the one buying the game. This includes more information on the condition of the item if necessary, any expansions that are included, missing or damaged pieces, whether the item has never been used, etc.
Sellers will be able to have 10 items for sale at one time. If a game sells and your proceeds are returned, you are welcome to bring replacements.
